Building Erection Services Company, LLC was founded by Bill Miller in February, 1977. The company started as sole proprietorship erecting precast concrete. The company was incorporated in 1978 and soon branched out into erecting metal buildings and structural steel.  The company purchased its first crane in late 1977 and two additional in 1978. Building Erection (often referred to as BESCO) began renting cranes in 1978 and in 1985 hired a manager to oversee a fast growing division that is now I separate entity known as Midwest Crane and Rigging.

Building Erection Services, LLC is now a family owned company with Bill Miller serving as President and 5 sons (Brian, Bill JR., Brad, Butch, and Lucas) sharing in the management of the company.

Building Erection Services, LLC has now combined the structural steel and precast concrete divisions since the semi-retirement of Al Williams. Ken Shafer has assumed the administration of precast erection along with the structural steel division. Al Williams continues to estimate and will be available for design/build input.

Mary Farrar manages the pre-engineered metal building division. The latest addition to the company and to the metal building division is Tom Farrar (Mary’s son) who has 30 years experience in metal building construction with the past 20 years in sales of metal buildings and industrial siding.

With this continuity plan, BESCO will continue to provide quality work, safety, and reliability to the many customers that we currently serve and the many new customers that we have yet to meet.
